One of the coolest surprises during today’s Summer Game Fest showcase was the reveal that not only is Alan Wake 2’s first DLC, titled Night Springs and starring a trio of incredible playable characters, releasing tomorrow, but two physical editions of the game will be going up for pre-order and releasing later this year.
Fans have been crying out for a physical launch of the game since it released last year, and now it’s finally happening. Even more exciting is there’s not just a physical “Deluxe” version of the game but a flashy Collector’s Edition to pick up, though it’s going to be a pretty pricey one for Aussie fans to get their hands on.
So far it looks like these will be limited to the console versions of the game, and given we don’t know when the second expansion, titled The Lake House, is launching it’s hard to say whether the DLC will be on-disc.
Here’s what’s going to be included in each version, how much they’ll cost and when to expect them:
Alan Wake 2 Physical Deluxe Edition
The Physical Deluxe Edition not only includes the base game but also the Expansion Pass and some other extra goodies. It’ll cost $79.99 USD and launches on October 22nd. Here’s what’s in it:

Produced by the folks Limited Run, the Alan Wake 2 Physical Limited Collector’s Edition has everything from the Deluxe Edition plus a very cool, functional Angel Lamp replica, an artbook and other fun stuff. It’ll cost $199.99 USD and launches “closely” after the Deluxe Edition. Here’s the rundown:
