Well, at the major break, it’s the Blues with the advantage. And quite a bit of buffer room too, up by 33-points after kicking nine goals to three in the opening half.
The Bombers had their chances – they got the ball into their attacking arc 12 more times than the Blues – but missed shot after shot. They booted 3.7.
Just on the cusp of half-time, Jye Caldwell looked like he was going to kick the Bombers’ fourth goal of the game, but it went across the face of goal.
Meanwhile the Blues have been efficient with the ball, both around the park, and in particular through the corridor, and in front of goals.
One to watch: Andrew McGarth had a HIA test on the field after copping a knee to the back of the head during a marking contest.
