Groom raises eyebrows over bizarre outfit choice at his wedding: ‘Is he an inmate?’

Must read

A groom has raised eyebrows over a bizarre outfit choice at his own wedding.

A picture of the bride and the groom standing at the alter has been doing the rounds on social media before it was re-shared in “That’s It, I’m Wedding Shaming” Facebook group.

The bride was seen traditionally dressed in a white bridal gown with lace details while the groom opted for casual look.

The man wore a matching two-piece beige set — featuring a button-up collared short-sleeve shirt and baggy cargo pants that some suggest could be mistaken for a prison outfit.

He finished his look with a pair of white and blue sneakers.

The post was met with more than 500 “likes” and over 80 comments — with many in disbelief over the groom’s questionable outfit.

“This isn’t meant to be disrespectful at all, but is he an inmate? Just wondering how those types of weddings work, I am only asking because of the location and outfit of his,” asked one.

The bride quickly responded but didn’t seem fazed by the woman’s curiosity.

“Haha no he’s not an inmate lol,” the bride replied, laughing as she explained how her new husband had purchased the “Snoop Dogg outfit” from the rapper’s apparel line at Walmart.

“We used the cheapest possible (outfit) and he liked it… until he got dressed (for the wedding) and then he was like, ‘Oh s***’.”

Many saw the funny side to the bride’s response to her groom’s wedding attire.

“Seemingly not offended when asked if he’s in a prison outfit,” one said, laughing.

“Oh, because my mind legitimately went straight to ‘prison wedding,” said a second.

Another added: “At least the bride responded kindly because we know how that usually goes…”

One suggested: “No disrespect to Snoop Dogg but when I think of wedding outfits, I don’t think of him.”

However, not everyone seemed to find the outfit amusing.

“Why would you wear a Snoop Dogg outfit in the first place?” one said.

“I don’t know what’s worse — your fiancé showing up to your wedding as a felon or a Snoop Dogg cosplayer?” added another.

One suggested: “I hate that this is real. I need a reason why this was the groom’s choice, but I know there isn’t one. To his credit, the bride did say he regretted it.”

Another revealed: “If my fiancé shows up to our wedding dressed like this I’m leaving.”

Meanwhile, some took a dig at the bride’s wedding dress.

“The groom might actually be the best dressed of this bunch. Wedding dress looks… so dingy. Literally everyone looks guilty of first or second-degree fashion murder,” one joked.

Another said while laughing: “This whole thing is a mess.”

While another pointed out: “There is so much going on here. However, the bride seems so sweet in her response about the Snoop Dogg outfit and (clarifying that it’s) not prison clothes. And the marriage officiant’s shoes? Just so much to look at.”
