Bulldogs utility Kurt Mann will be suspended two games with an early plea after he was sin binned for a crusher tackle during his team’s win over the Eels on Monday.
90 minutes after the Bulldogs-Eels King’s Birthday clash ended, the NRL announced that Mann would miss two games with an early plea and three if he fights the charge and loses.
Mann was sin binned and placed on report in the 54th minute after committing the dangerous tackle on Eels centre on Will Penisini.

The Fox League commentary team consisting of Andrew Voss, Greg Alexander and Cooper Cronk all agreed it was a clear example of a crusher tackle and that the referees made the right decision in sin binning Mann.
“That’s an example of a crusher that we don’t want to see. See how he lifted him and then went done hard?” Alexander said when a replay of the tackle was shown.
“That’s what we want to get out of the game. That is a crusher that should get him put on report. That is a deliberate crusher.”
After the Bunker reviewed it, referee Peter Gough called out Mann and gave him his marching orders.
“So it’s a crusher. You’ve picked him up, you’ve dumped him and lose your legs, you’re in the bin,” were Gough’s reasons behind the decision.
“That’s absolutely the right call there from the officials,” Cooper Cronk added in commentary.
