Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle are reportedly looking to buy a property in the UK to allow the Duke of Sussex to reconnect with his “old life” after being booted out of Frogmore Cottage.
Writer and broadcaster Esther Krakue claims it was a “wise” decision not to invite Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to Trooping the Colour for a second year in a row.
“To have the Sussexes anywhere near the Royal Family at this precarious time when three members of the Royal Family have significant health issues would not be a very wise thing to do,” Ms Krakue told Sky News host Caroline Di Russo.
“It’s not surprising at all.
“And it’s an invitation I suspect the Duke and Duchess would reject because they don’t feel safe here in the UK.”
The Sussexes officially left the UK and settled in California four years ago and currently live in a sprawling $20 million estate in Montecito with their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
However, royal insider Tom Quinn revealed on Sunday that the former working royals are looking to purchase a new London base after being evicted from Frogmore Cottage by King Charles.
“Harry is determined to find his own permanent home in the UK, which is partly why he’s continuing his legal action to get the British taxpayer to pay for his security,” Mr Quinn told the Mirror newspaper.

“As time goes by, Harry misses some aspects of his old life in the UK.
“Inevitably, the honeymoon period where everything in the States is new and exciting is coming to an end and Harry is looking back at the past through rose-tinted spectacles.”
The insider did not reveal where the Sussexes are looking for a new home but their previous base, Frogmore Cottage, is located in leafy Windsor about an hour’s drive from central London.
Median house prices for Windsor sit at well over $1 million, with the average detached family home priced at about $2.5 million and above.

Harry has attempted to recreate parts of his old life in California by joining a local polo team in Santa Barbara and maintains contact with some old friends through the elite sport, including Argentine polo star Nacho Figueras.
However, Mr Quinn said that the Duke of Sussex is longing to reconnect and repair friendships that were either broken after he married Markle or alienated when he publicly slammed the monarchy.
“He misses his Old Etonian and army friends, many of whom have not visited as they don’t get on with Meghan,” he said.
The update comes just days after his former close friend Hugh Grosvenor, Duke of Westminster married Olivia Henson in the society wedding of the year.
Despite serving as the godfather to Harry’s son Archie, Mr Grosvenor left the Sussexes off the guest list to avoid an awkward run in with Prince William at the lavish wedding.
