Katie Holmes bared all for her new A.P.C. collab.

The actress, 45, not only went topless to show off a bag and a pair of jeans, but she stripped down again to show off a quilt. It wasn’t just any quilt, though. The quilt in the A.P.C. collection is modeled after one made by her mom — and only 100 were available.

For the campaign photo shoot, Holmed wrapped up in the quilt, which retails for $795 and is already sold out. She wrote on her Instagram Stories on June 1, “My favorite quilt designed by my mom.”

Holmes further opened up about her mom’s quilting to the Washington Post in an interview published on June 1, saying, “My mom has made me many quilts, all of my siblings and [her] grandkids. And there’s a difference when you’re sleeping under your mother’s work.”

The actress said in a press release that she’s been a fan of the brand since the ’90s, so working with them just made sense — as did bringing in her mom’s quilting influence.

“A.P.C. is a beautiful French brand and one that I have loved since I discovered it,” she said. “The simplicity of design is born out of sophisticated consistency to details and form. A.P.C. is not only elegant in life, but I have also used it many times for costumes in film as its classic design is timeless.”

Her collection includes jeans, miniskirts, blouses, bags, wedge heels and more — and every piece feels in line with what Holmes herself would wear.

“I did approach this collection with the idea of it being a complete wardrobe,” she said in a press release. “One can mix and match the pieces to create many different looks that suit one’s individual style. There are day looks and night looks. Professional and playful. Suits, skirts, jeans, flats, heels, jackets.”

What you won’t find are silhouettes that Holmes is happy to leave in her past, like skinny jeans and low-rise pants.

“I like dark denim and prefer a high waist, which the jeans that we created together have,” she told the Sunday Times in an interview published on June 9. “Ours have an elongated leg and a flare, which make the proportions look great.” In short, they are not skinny, because she is very done with that silhouette.

“I think it’s wonderful for people who have never had that chapter in their life,” she said of that cut. “I’ve already had it, so I feel satisfied. I don’t need to revisit.”

As for low-rise denim: Holmes said on The Run-Through with Vogue podcast on June 6 that trends from yesteryear, including low-rise pants, should be “deleted.”

“I don’t know that the very low, low, low-rise jeans need to be revisited,” she said. “You know, where the it’s like the button’s down here.”

But when she was told that the trend is somewhat making a comeback, she did a double-take and asked the Vogue editors to do something about it.

Vogue can stop that. We can stop it right here,” she said.
