The top 100 baby names in Australia for 2024 have been revealed and while Isla topped the list for the girls, Oliver came out as number one for the boys for the eleventh year in a row.
McCrindle Research released its annual baby names report and there were some surprising changes this year.
Some monikers like Miles and Lottie made the top 100 for the first time while others fell out of favour with Aussie parents including Jaxon and Claire.
For the boys, Oliver has continued its 11-year reign in the number one spot while Noah came in second again and Henry was third bumping Leo down one spot to four.
The boys’ top 10 was given a shuffle around with no new names entering the list.

Theodore jumped up two places from seventh place to fifth and Hudson went from eighth to sixth.
Luca, William, Charlie and Jack earned the seventh to tenth places in that order.
Isla made a reappearance in the top spot since 2022, knocking Charlotte, which reigned supreme for seven years from 2014-2021, down to number three.
Amelia sat between them in second place and Olivia, Mia, Ava and Matilda held their places in fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh respectively.
Harper, Lily and Hazel make an entrance in the top ten for the girls bumping off Ella, Grace and Willow from 2023.
10 names entered the top 100 for the first time including Miles which had the biggest jump out of any moniker going from 101 right up to 48.
Cleo rose the ranks the highest for the girls climbing 44 places to 91.
The name proved popular among parents of Gen Alpha as Myles ranked 85 while August just made it in at number 100.
Owen and Ollie were also newcomers for the boys and for the girls, Lottie and Riley made the list for the first time.
Kaia and Athena just scraped in after having not even placed in the top 200 in the previous year.
Boys’ names that no longer exist in the top 100 are Ashton, Connor, Vincent, Elias and Jaxon while Charlie, Jasmine, Claire, Gracie and Lilly were bumped off the girls’ list.
