Leading form analyst Joel Davies has declared Broadsiding in Saturday’s J.J. Atkins.
The James Cummings-trained two-year-old has been nothing short of scintillating in his first campaign and he looks primed to take out Queensland’s premier two-year-old race.
The Godolphin juvenile has been shown the ultimate respect from the bookies but even at the short $1.75 quote, Davies thinks he’s absolutely unbeatable for star jockey James McDonald.
“They don’t (beat him),” Davis told SENTrack.
“I reckon he’ll nearly get two-year-old of the year if he wins this race and I think he will be winning.
“He’s not my type of price but surely he is unbeatable here, he draws gate two and I don’t think he’ll be as far back as he has been and the reason he’s been as far back as he has been because in his last three stars he’s drawn 10/11, 7/8 and 17/18.
“I expect him to sit sixth or seventh and come to the outside and I think it’s absolutely unbeatable and I think you should have a little bit on how far he wins by.
“$1.75 is overs and I think he’s a $1.40 chance and will just be winning the J.J. Atkins.”
