Designed by MAS the proposal seeks a Shopping Centre, Food & Drink Outlet, Health Care Services, Indoor Sport & Recreation and Offices towards the centre of the North Harbour development. The corner site will provide a supermarket, medical and specialty retail tenancies. A sail-covered car park area is provided along North Harbour Boulevard and includes two (2) fast food outlets.
The site is set up to expand with further redevelopment facilitated to the north and south, however subject to future development applications. The proposal includes new acoustic mitigation measures, landscaping screening, and setbacks to avoid any unreasonable adverse impacts.
The proposed development at North Harbour Local Centre encompasses a mix of uses designed to create a dynamic and accessible community hub. The main built form is strategically positioned to maximise accessibility and connectivity, with setbacks from North Harbour Boulevard and Port Binnli Road. The design includes high-quality landscaping and pedestrian pathways to enhance the user experience.

The planners Urbis state, “The building has been designed to provide a bulk and scale that is compatible with the surrounding areas, with a significant portion of the lower level of the building being substantially cut into the shopping center. This form, in combination with the mixed palette of typical building materials, results in the building having a bulk and scale that is compatible with the surrounding Zone“.
The proposal includes 10,194sqm of gross floor area, with (32.8%) site cover of the development site.
