Video: NFL Legend Tom Brady Makes Fox Sports Debut During 2024 UFL Championship Game

Must read

Ahead of his first full year as a broadcaster, legendary quarterback Tom Brady got his feet wet on Sunday.

Brady made his debut in the booth during Sunday’s UFL Championship Game between the Birmingham Stallions and San Antonio Brahmas on Fox. He joined Curt Menefee and Joel Klatt during the second quarter when the game was scoreless and provided some insight, imploring the offenses to get going.

“They’re all a little different. You get into these games and there’s a lot of defense out there right now,” Brady said. “Somebody’s gotta get the ball down the field and try to open this field a little bit, it’s a lot of horizontal passes and defenses are swarming and trying to punch the ball out. Make them defend every blade of grass, that’s what we used to say.”

The Stallions took Brady’s advice, scoring the only touchdown of the first half and taking an 8-0 lead into halftime.

Fans on social media were pleased with what they heard from Brady on Sunday, offering some positive reviews:

Brady will begin working as the lead analyst on Fox this season after signing a 10-year, $375 million deal with the network in 2022. He will call his first full game on Sept. 8 during a Week 1 game between the Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns.

This continues a big week for Brady, as he was inducted into the New England Patriots Hall of Fame and will have his No. 12 retired by the team.
