Two lucky amateur golfers will be given the rare chance to go toe-to-toe with Cowboys players Chad Townsend and Kyle Feldt when the Survivor Golf charity series arrives. Find out to get involved.
Feldt and Townsend will team up at Tropics Golf Club on Friday where they will play another team, selected at random, with a ticket to the national final in Port Douglas on offer for the winners.
Survivor Golf is a national two-player ambrose series that travels from golf course to golf course, pitting locals against each other with a plethora of prizes on the line and raising money for Kick On Charity, which promotes awareness around mental health issues.
Another team of Cowboys players are expected to pair up for the second Townsville leg on Sunday at Rowes Bay Golf Club.
Survivor Golf CEO Dave Cameron said participants could expect more than just a great day of golf.

“This weekend will be really exciting. We’ve got a lot of hole activations, we’ve got hole-in-one prizes, putting competitions, Red Bull activations with the trucks coming out,” Cameron said.
“We’ve even been lucky enough to have two of the local Cowboys come out and play for Triple M, so Chad Townsend and Kyle Feldt will be playing on Friday, and the best thing about our events is it’s a random draw.
“So two lucky punters will get to play with the Cowboys guys this weekend, and hopefully have a great day.”

Now in its third year, Survivor Golf has grown from a 10-event series based around North Queensland into a national series with events in each state.
Plans are underway to go international in 2025 with a New Zealand and Bali event added to the calendar.
Friday and Sunday’s Townsville events follow on from a thrilling weekend of action on Magnetic Island where two family teams – a husband and wife and a father and son – won the two events.
Darren and Sharon ‘Daz and Shaz’ Cameron won round 1 and will be the first husband and wife to qualify for the national final – with Sharon now the fourth woman to qualify around the midway point of the series.
Round 2 on Sunday was won by local greenkeepers Carl and Chris Nelson.
