Prince Louis’ dance moves during Trooping the Colour have gone viral on TikTok after the young royal was spotted bopping to the Highland Laddie leaving his mum, Princess Catherine, in stitches.
News Corp columnist Louise Roberts says Princess Kate’s appearance at Trooping the Colour was a “triumph” for her.
Princess Kate has made her first public appearance since her cancer diagnosis.
“It’s significant on many levels, in particular, the fact that she’s well enough to attend this parade and its reassurance about how well her treatment is going for cancer,” Ms Roberts told Sky News host Caroline Di Russo.
“This is the most important event on the calendar – it is the King’s birthday parade, but it really was Kate’s day.
“All in all, a triumph for Kate, really.”
The entire royal family marked the official celebration of King Charles’ birthday on Saturday, including the Princess of Wales who made her first public appearance since being diagnosed with cancer earlier this year.
Trooping the Colour also marked the first public appearance this year for Louis, six, and his siblings, Prince George, ten, and Princess Charlotte, nine, as the Wales’ have reportedly prioritised family time amid Kate’s illness.
The Princess of Wales was all smiles as she greeted a crowd of thousands alongside her three children and husband William on the balcony of Buckingham Palace after riding in the Glass State Coach along the Mall.

But it was her youngest child Louis who made Kate break into giggles after the Prince began dancing during the march of the Scots Guards to the bagpipe classic Highland Laddie.
Louis’ dance moves went viral on TikTok, with a clip of the Prince busting a move on the balcony racking up over 2.7 million views.
“Prince Louis is such a character,” one user wrote.
“The spares are always the star of the show,” another TikToker added.

At one point, Louis was also spotted wincing as he tried his hardest to open a window to get a better look at the crowds gathered in front of the palace.
Louis is currently fourth in line to the throne after his father, brother and sister and pushed his uncle Harry into fifth spot upon birth in 2018.
The heart-warming moment comes days after Louis’ mum Kate shared a major update on her battle with cancer for the first time since confirming her diagnosis in a video address in March.

“I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days,” she said in a statement shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Friday.
The Princess of Wales’s attendance at Trooping the Colour was her first royal event since the Christmas Day service at Sandringham last December.
Despite the major appearance, Kensington Palace has cautioned that the Princess will only resume more public duties based on the guidance of her doctors.
