Perth based cloud gaming and AI infrastructure provider Radian Arc has secured $9 million in series B funding from several global leaders in the sector.
The round was spearheaded by renowned gaming venture capital firm BITKRAFT Ventures and drew support from AMD Ventures – the investment firm backed by global computer processor powerhouse AMD.
Radian Arc is an infrastructure as a service (IaaS) provider with a focus on partnering with telecommunications providers to bolster cloud gaming and artificial intelligence offerings.
The company essentially provides the hardware infrastructure, including servers, storage, networking, and virtualisation, for telecommunication providers. This allows them to then provide customers with cloud gaming services.
Radian Arc chief executive David Cook said the funding would enable continued expansion, capitalising on an already global customer base which has the company provide infrastructure for 32 telecommunications providers across the US, Europe, Malaysia, Singapore and Japan.
“We are thrilled to have the support of such esteemed investors who share our vision for the future of cloud gaming and AI,” he said.
“This funding round will accelerate our mission to revolutionise the way Telcos leverage cloud infrastructure to provide cutting-edge services to their customers.”
The company drew strong praise from BITKRAFT Ventures principal Jonathan Huang, who said the company had the potential to redefine the cloud gaming and AI landscape.
“We believe Radian Arc’s impressive tech stack, ecosystem of industry leading strategic partners, and marquee management team position them strongly to be dominant in one of the most powerful platform shifts in gaming.”
BITKRAFT operates six venture funds with a total of over $900M in assets under management and has over 100 companies in its global portfolio as of June 2024.
