King and Whateley’s top four seeds after Round 14, 2024

Must read

David King and Gerard Whateley have named their top four seeds following Round 14 of the 2024 AFL season.

King and Whateley typically rank four teams they have the most confidence in going forward on a weekly basis throughout the year.

After leaving Sydney out last week as they were so far ahead, King and Whateley did the exercise with the clear premiership favourites returning to pole position.

See their seedings below:

KING

1 – Sydney

“Nothing changes with Sydney.

“I think the biggest question for Sydney is, do they rest the key three (Chad Warner, Isaac Heeney and Errol Gulden) in the back half of the year?

“They’ve had their couple of byes and are fresh, but now they’ve got their long stint (of consecutive.

“Do they rest them at Round 18 to make sure they’re cherry ripe for the finals? Or run the gauntlet.”

2 – Carlton

3 – Collingwood

“Three is the Pies.

“Sometimes you just have to win those games and to be able to do that with such power was a terrific outcome for them.”

4 – Western Bulldogs

“If you’re going to squeeze my three and four, it’s a toss-up between the Giants and the Dogs.

“I think the Dogs will be in the eight and threatening in four weeks’ time.

“So, I’ll go the Dogs.”

WHATELEY

1 – Sydney

2 – Carlton

“It’s a big Friday night coming up, isn’t it?

“Geelong is coming up for the second time around.”

3 – Collingwood

4 – Hawthorn

“I’m going Hawthorn.

‘They’re playing the second-best footy of the day.

“Essendon, Brisbane and the Bulldogs are all better futures prospects, but right now Hawthorn are entitled to a place in the seeds.”
