Blizzard has revealed most of what’s coming up in Season 11 of Overwatch 2, which gets underway this Thursday, June 20. One of the more exciting tidbits for many fans is a tease of the next crossover event: Transformers is coming to Overwatch 2.
The collab is set to start on July 9, according to a roadmap posted on the game’s Twitter account. Blizzard didn’t state the name of the IP it’s working with this time around, but that Autobot logo is unmistakable. Transformers also ties into the Saturday morning cartoon-style theme of Season 11.
We’ll need to wait and see what kinds of cosmetics are involved here and which heroes will get Transformers skins. Based on recent crossovers, there are likely to be between two and five Transformers skins. Bastion seems like a logical choice for one of them, given that he literally transforms himself into different configurations.
I hope that we get a Prop Hunt mode that ties into the crossover too. It would be fun to see heroes gradually transform into the objects that they’re hiding as.
