Following extensive refurbishment, the APT Travel Group is pleased to announce the re-opening of the Mitchell Falls Wilderness Lodge.
The unique outback experience features a stunning swimming deck, gourmet dining, and exceptional new accommodations. APT’s co-owner, Rob McGeary, recently visited the lodge and expressed his enthusiasm about the improvements.
“Mitchell Falls Wilderness Lodge has truly exceeded my expectations. The happiness and satisfaction of our guests were evident, as I encountered several tour groups, all having an absolutely wonderful time,” he said.
The extensive refurbishment included significant infrastructure upgrades, including the addition of brand-new cabins and the revitalization of the brilliant Ungalon Pavilion. The lodge now features 24 spacious and thoughtfully designed ensuite tented cabins, each equipped with timber floor showers, comfortable beds, and private decks that provide breathtaking landscape views.
The Ungalon Pavilion blends modern Australian style with local craft and aboriginal influences, offering fine dining, a bar, and a library. These upgrades align with the standards set at Bell Gorge Wilderness Lodge, renovated in 2021, and Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge, creating a network of three exceptional lodges in the Kimberley, exclusive to APT.
In addition to front-of-house enhancements, significant investments in back-of-house infrastructure have been made. “We’ve upgraded the electrical systems at Mitchell Falls, ensuring reliable and environmentally sensitive power for years to come,” said McGeary. “This includes a massive solar array and commercial-grade battery systems, underscoring our commitment to sustainability.”
