The Parramatta Eels can provide the following injury update ahead of the Round 16 bye week.
Kelma Tuilagi has sustained an injury to his thumb which requires surgery and rules him out for 6-8 weeks.
As a result of the updated injury diagnosis received today, the Eels have decided to plead ‘no contest’ to Kelma’s charge at the NRL Judiciary.
J’maine Hopgood, who was ruled out of Queensland Maroons selection ahead of Origin II, is currently being monitored and treated for a lower back injury. His progress will be monitored over the coming days before a course of action is finalised.
Maika Sivo is expected to be available for the Eels’ next match against the Newcastle Knights in Round 17. The winger missed the past two matches with a hamstring injury, but is closing in on a return to full fitness.
Bailey Simonsson recently underwent successful surgery on an ACL injury. The outside back will miss the remainder of the 2024 NRL season.
