Fans appeared to be split on whether they would be prepared to follow Grant’s example of ‘raw-dogging’ a flight.

‘Raw-dogging’ originally referred to having unprotected sex but it’s meaning has expanded to include when a person enters an obviously risky situation without the benefit of any mitigating factors.

‘I’ll be on a plane to Perth later today,’ messaged one follower, who added: ‘This has reminded me to pack headphones.’

In his Instagram post Grant compared himself to a ‘psychopath’

‘Why are you even allowed onboard? No headphones no phone?’ another fan joked.

Another follower added: ‘I’ve started doing this while waiting for a doctors appointment as the zombies around me stare down at their phones.’

It comes after the the Deal or No Deal host shared a surprising discovery while returning on a flight from a recent family holiday.

Grant took to his socials to post a video about a ‘hidden’ feature in the plane toilet.

In his Instagram Stories, he revealed that he had always disliked using his hands to open the flap of a plane toilet’s bin, where paper hand towels are disposed of.

It comes after Grant shared an incredible discovery about the hidden features of a plane toilet, which he excitedly shared with his Instagram followers

To his amazement, Grant found a floor pedal that can be pressed to open the bin flap.

Clearly stunned by this revelation, Grant told followers: ‘Surely I’m not the only person who just learnt about this.’

The video, captioned with this newfound wisdom, showed Denyer zooming in on his white-socked foot pressing down on the pedal, which is located directly under the toilet roll, close to the plane floor.

As he presses the pedal, the bin flap opens, allowing towels to be disposed of without touching the bin.

‘The bin is always full for me and I hate touching the bin,’ he wrote. ‘Did you know about it?’

He then panned back down to the foot pedal to give his viewers a clear view of its location, emphasising the convenience of this small but significant feature.

This life-changing, lightbulb moment for Denyer was clearly a highlight of his trip.

Grant is currently hosting Deal or No Deal for Channel 10.
