Urine-drinking Bear Grylls reveals surprising hidden talent

Must read

Playing in a charity cricket match hosted by former English test opener Andrew Strauss, fearless explorer Bear Grylls has revealed a hidden talent with the bat that hit fans and onlookers for six.

An Instagram video posted by Grylls and the Ruth Strauss Foundation showed the nature lover storming to the crease before demonstrating his rarely-seen blade skills.

“Bear Grylls can bat!” the post was captioned.

Asked when the last time he took the crease was, Grylls openly replied, “With Andrew two years ago!”

Appearing spritely and fleet-footed at 50 years of age, Grylls hit a couple of fours through the covers and a sweeping six over cow corner — all for a good cause.

Fans were shocked by the hardened former SAS trooper’s technical ability, responding to the footage with messages of support.

“Dude.. He is playing like a professional cricketer🔥,” one person wrote.

“That stride length — proper batter,” another said.

Known for his adventurous palette and extensive survival skills, one particular practice revealed on his TV show Man vs Wild has followed him around for years like a bad smell.

Naturally, it was brought in response to the batting partnership with mate Strauss.

“Yeah, but can Andrew Strauss drink his own pi** in the desert?” one follower asked.

Joined by a host of former cricketing stars, the “Rock for Ruth” event featured Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara, retired Englishman Ian Bell, and music from pop group The Sugababes.

The Ruth Strauss Foundation was inspired by Strauss’ late wife, Ruth, who died of cancer in 2018.
