$SP.00) is finding it hard to win but she is a mare who has returned in super order and strikes a thin race. She has been runner up in all three runs this time in, the latest coming over the mile at Northam when off the speed and kept finding the line in a really good effort behind Prince I Think. Hard fit, she appeals for me against this lot.

2 Allegro Sonata (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) is flying for Stefan Vahala and appeals. This mare is several weeks between runs since a win at this track/distance, notably on wet ground, and although she got the staggers late, she did handle the conditions and if the rain does arrive, with purpose, then she becomes nearly #1 seed.

5 Wonder Weapon (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) is in a similar boat to Lova Session. Racing really well but just finds it hard to win. Runner up two weeks back over 1400m here, getting a sweet sit in transit and presented to win but she just couldn’t quite get there. If she can overcome the tricky gate, she’ll be around the mark.

2 Scenic George (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) gets the nod for me. Team Pearce trained gelding that ran over this track/distance last time out where he was four wide no cover the trip and that hard run just told late in the piece behind Repossession. Prior efforts were good, maps better and he won’t mind a wet track. Happy to have him on top.

10 God She’s Sassy (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) looks like she has talent for David Harrison. This filly debuted over 1100m at Bunbury where she attempted to lead throughout and she gave a decent sight but couldn’t quite see it through when a narrow second to Coondie. Like her back in trip, good racing style and this isn’t a deep contest.

8 Areduet (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) hasn’t been too bad in three career outings for Coreen Maynard and is a knockout chance despite the tricky gate. She has been kept on ice, having not raced since May 11 over this track/distance when on speed and just felt the pinch late in the piece when second to Street Band. That form reads well. Just needs luck from the draw.

5 Bolta (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) on top but not really a race I want to get involved in. He is still a maiden after eight runs, but he has shown enough talent to measure up at this level. Narrow third to Lost City fresh at Ascot before going to this track/distance when off the speed and battled away really well in defeat behind King’s Honour. Hard fit, can settle near the front and won’t mind give in the track.

1 Final Siren (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) looks to have returned in really good order for Michael Lane. Market wanted him with confidence when resuming three weeks ago at this track/distance and he was much too good, leading throughout and was too good in a sharp return. Good racing style, good improvement, he appeals.

7 Hit The Jackpot (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) has a good record at Belmont and will be on speed. Market didn’t mind him at odds when racing at Northam last time but I just think he went a bit too hard in front and just felt the pinch late late in the piece. Like him back to 1000m, and any hint of his best form can see him threaten at odds.

$SP.00) is a model of consistency for Michael Grantham and should take a power of beating here. He ran over this track/distance two weeks ago where he was tardy away, settled near last and made up good ground in the straight to run second to Strike Now, with the start proving quite costly. Clean jump, hopefully can settle closer and he’ll be effective at the end.

1 Strike Now (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) has found winning form and he can certainly go on with it. The win came a fortnight back where he was able to build momentum from off the speed and sustained a gallop in a strong effort to just get the win. He was working up to a win and now that he has got it, he can maintain it.

6 Bambun Boy (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) is a sneaky knockout chance at odds. I thought he was a real eye catcher fresh over the mile here before going to 1700m at Bunbury where he got back and failed to make up any real headway. The rise in trip I find interesting but he has enormous upside and brings different form.

7 Speed Dream (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) is the each way play for me. He ran over the mile at Northam last start where he got back to near last in the run and while he was never really a winning threat, he did make up good ground in an eye catching performance behind Falcon Trader. Good record at Belmont and if he can settle closer in the run, he’ll take beating.

$SP.00) is an improving type for Westriver Miracle. He resumed over 1400m here three weeks ago when wide no cover throughout and he was entitled to drop right out but he kept chipping away and was quite good in defeat behind Demolish. Fitter and up in trip, more economical run in transit, he appeals.

2 Sentimental Hero (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) has a fab second up record so I am not dropping off him. He resumed three weeks back over 1200m where he paraded like he would need the run and that’s how it eventuated when down the track behind Rope Them In. Better set up here and his best is certainly good enough to be dangerous.

12 Top Of The Pops (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) is the each way bet for me here. First run for Team Gangemi came over 1000m here two weeks ago where the race shape was against him but I really liked the way he finished his race off behind talented mare Yonga Lass. Should get a more genuine tempo this time around and with good upside, he’ll do me each way.

$SP.00) is a ripping mare for Team Williams that has to be rated highly as one of the leading contenders. She resumed with a bang when winning over 1000m here a fortnight back, sitting on speed and was just too strong late in wearing down short course specialist Beads. Like her up to 1200m and I think she’ll be better with a more patient steer.

2 Panzdown (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) is a Team Gangemi trained gelding that resumes. This guy is first up, having not raced since Jan 27 when down the track over 1200m at Ascot. He is a horse who can sprint well on the fresh side, trial was solid enough and he does have a touch of class when right. Keen to see how he goes and watch the market.

$SP.00) is a really nice horse and confident that with even luck, he can bounce back into the winners list. Total forgive two weeks ago when racing here, sitting wide no cover throughout and just felt the pinch late in the piece behind Luvnwar. If he can get a better run in transit, a more economical run, he takes beating.

$SP.00) is a talented three year old that is heading in the right direction for Stefan Vahala. Market wanted him with confidence when resuming over 1200m and gee his win was impressive, the way he gave them a start and a beating, launching late to finish best and win with a bit of arrogance. Confident he can measure up.

Long Shot

1 Blue Lagoon (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) could have gone to the Guineas but I think there is enough body of work to say 1400m is his limit and 1600m would be too far hence why he runs here. He was far from disgraced two weeks back in the Raconteur and if he gets luck from the tricky gate, he can win for sure.

10 Ton Of Grunt (Bet Now: $34.00) lacks the class and runs on the board vs some of these, but gee he looks a prospect for Rhys Radford and I think he can measure up. Far from disgraced behind Brave Spirit two back before going to Northam for a kill and he got that in spades, giving them a start and a beating and was quite arrogant the way he put them away. He’ll love the rise to the mile and be strong late.

2 Brave Spirit (Bet Now: $3.80) has done little wrong in a ten start career for Steve Wolfe and commands some level of respect. He has won his past two, both over 1400m here, the latest being two weeks ago in the Raconteur when knuckling down with purpose from off the speed to win and win well. Off that effort, the rise to 1600m suits and is hard to beat.

3 Ancient Guidance (Bet Now: $67.00) hasn’t set the world on fire in two runs this time in but I do think he’ll appreciate a rise to the mile. He comes through the Raconteur where he got back to near last in the run and made up minor headway without setting the world on fire behind Brave Spirit. Doubt he wins, but I think can improve and potentially pinch a first four spot.

$SP.00) for me. Team Williams trained mare that resumed over 1000m here two weeks ago in what was pretty much a barrier trial but she did find the line well enough in a good return behind Bayezid. Love the rise up in trip for her and she is a winner at Belmont on heavy ground. If the forecast for Saturday is right, this track will be a bog and it plays into her hands.

5 Noteworthy (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) should love the rise to 1300m. She ran a fortnight back over 1200m here where she got a fair way out of her ground but really liked the way she finished her race off late in the piece behind unbeaten filly Twain’s Angel. That form surely has to read well for a race like this. Hard to beat.

2 Holy Ghost (Bet Now: 
$SP.00) is an improver at odds for Neville Parnham. He resumed over 1400m here two weeks back where he got back in the run and did make up some headway but was never really threatening behind Rope Them In. Better set up here…doubt he wins but can run top four.
