Morphettville racing tips

Race 1. (12:02) Sportsbet 1MW (1600m)

#7 – Maracourt @ $2.10

Maracourt looks to cap off consistent form after posting second placings at his last two starts.

The five-year-old son of Hampton Court is likely to get back in the run, but he could hit the line impressively.

Getting in with 54kg makes him tough to beat.

Race 2. (12:37) PFD Food Services Maiden (1050m)

#2 – Riche D’amour @ $4.00

Riche D’amour is on debut following a trial win on Monday, so he’s ready to fire.

The three-year-old son of Rich Enuff is bred to show early speed, and punters get each-way odds to snap up.

The early betting support is a good sign, so include him in picks.

Race 3. (13:12) Adelade Galvanising Industries BM68 (1800m)

#3 – Tippa @ $3.40

Looking to score consecutive wins is Tippa, who couldn’t have been more impressive last week.

The son of Ilovethiscity scored a comfortable win, and getting 3kg off his back makes winning possible again.

Look for him to settle on the pace and give punters a good sight throughout the run.

Race 4. (13:47) The Fotobase Group BM64 (1540m)

#2 – Merchant Boss @ $3.20

Merchant Boss will need luck from the wide draw, but that didn’t stop him from winning last time out.

The four-year-old son of Merchant Navy was caught wide last start, but he was still good enough to cross the line first.

A repeat of that takes him close, and money has come for him.

Race 5. (14:22) Skycity BM68 (1540m)

#5 – Derby Downs @ $9.00

Derby Downs hit the line nicely to finish second last time out, which is a tidy form guide for this level of racing.

The three-year-old son of Pariah had to weave a passage through the field, and being willing to take the gaps is a good sign.

We think he’s over the odds in this race.

Race 6. (14:57) Thomas Farms BM74 (2500m)

#1 – Lake’s Folly @ $7.50

Lake’s Folly turned his form around with a long overdue win, and we’re happy to back him again.

He is a proven winner with plenty of experience on his side, and getting an apprentice claim helps his chances.

Punters should snap up the each-way odds.

Race 7. (15:37) Bet with Mates C2 (1200m)

#2 – Apparatus @ $2.25

Apparatus has made a good start to his racing career, posting two wins and two placings from four starts.

The son of Trapeze Artist scored on debut and got back to winning form with an impressive win, and it was franked last week.

Barrier 17 hurts, but he goes close with luck.

Race 8. (16:15) Grand Syndicates BM80 (1200m)

#13 – Losesomewinmore @ $4.80

Losesomewinmore didn’t fire last time out, but the four-year-old gelding showed good form prior.

The son of All Too Hard scored three wins from his first four starts, so that form is tough to overlook at this level.

Punters get each-way odds, and they’re worth snapping up.

Race 9. (16:50) Fast Form BM64 (1100m)

#5 – Sachem @ $3.60

Sachem is getting close to posting a win after two second placings this preparation.

The son of Street Boss hit the line nicely to finish second last start, and he should settle midfield and come with a big late run.

We wanted slightly better odds, but he’s still worth backing.
