Tamworth racing tips

Race 2. (12:20) Walgett Sporting Club Maiden (1600m)

#11 – Sebilla @ $2.90

Sebilla looks to have good pace after posting two placings from three starts, including a third placing at Scone last time out.

The three-year-old filly by Divine Prophet was only 2.8 lengths behind the winner, so she was close enough to the pace.

We’re happy to include her in selections at the odds.

Race 3. (12:55) Tamworth Service Club Maiden (1000m)

#5 – Rembroy @ $2.90

Rembroy ended last preparation with consecutive second placings, so he could kick-start this prep with a win.

The four-year-old gelding by Husson owns three placings at Tamworth, and it’s about time he broke maidens.

Money has come for him since opening ay $3.30, which is a good sign.

Race 6. (14:45) Glen Innes Services Club Maiden (1200m)

#1 – Wicked Testimony @ $2.45

Wicked Testimony hasn’t been too far away from the prize in two starts, and we’re not surprised by the money coming for him.

The son of Press Statement should appreciate the rise in distance, and runners from this stable often improve with racing.

The $2.45 could firm on race day.

Race 7. (15:20) Wests Entertainment Group BM58 (1200m)

#1 – Starry Jack @ $6.00

Starry Jack got back to winning form at Armidale last time out, and he could kick on with it now.

The four-year-old son of Outreach owns two wins and five placings from 11 starts, and he won his only start at Tamworth.

Getting 3kg off his back adds to our confidence levels.

Geelong racing tips

Race 2. (13:30) Rex Gorell Volkswagen Maiden (1312m)

#1 – Ignacio @ $4.40

Ignacio hasn’t been too far away from the prize with three placings from six starts.

The four-year-old son of Redoute’s Choice should enjoy the drop in class after running at Canterbury, Geelong, and Ballarat.

The former Chris Waller-trained runner should be right in the mix.

Race 3. (14:00) Right Mate Maiden (1715m)

#7 – Onlygoldwilldo @ $3.20

Onlygoldwilldo has been backed and beaten a few times this preparation, but we’re happy to stick with him for another run.

The three-year-old colt by Medaglia D’oro owns one second placing from six starts, but he wasn’t far off them last time out.

Getting $3.20 is a fair price for the favourite.

Race 5. (15:00) Check In On Your Mates BM64 (2418m)

#1 – King’s Crossing @ $4.20

King’s Crossing turned his form around with an overdue win, and he has always been a confidence runner.

The four-year-old was being set for the Derby as a three-year-old, and although that didn’t materialise, he’s still a nice type.

Two of his three career wins have come at Geelong, so he loves it here.

Race 7. (16:00) RMBL Investments Rising Stars BM58 (1212m)

#10 – Hotzel @ $4.50

Hotzel has more ability than her form suggests, so we’re happy to include her in selections.

The four-year-old daughter of Snitzel won at Benalla on debut before running second at Pakenham, which is tidy form.

She is better than recent racing suggests, and getting 2kg off her back adds to her appeal.
