Brewery in suburb you’ve never heard of named best Perth pub

Must read

A trendy brewery in a suburb you’ve probably never heard of has been named Perth’s best pub.

King Road Brewing in Oldbury won the prestigious title after thousands of locals voted in 92.9 Triple M’s Xav & Michelle ‘Best of Perth’.

They beat Mount Helena Tavern in Mount Helena and Limestone Coast Brewing in Malaga to take home the top gong.

The pub boasts a beer garden, restaurant, live entertainment, a kids’ playground and even a marshmallow roasting fire.

King Road Brewing came about in 2008 when Bev and Dave McKee experimented with cider recipes on their family farm.

The company has grown massively over 16 years, with the stunning venue taking out ‘Champion Small Brewery’ at the Australian International Beer Awards and their IPA winning a top prize.

“We are focused on quality beer. Our IPA won a gold medal for the Best Traditional IPA at the National Awards last week!” Sales Manager Rhydian Lewis said.

The family-friendly venue caters to all ages and types of people with the brewery offering breakfast on weekends and a footy oval.

And if you think this place can’t get any better, the brewery is offering $5 pints and cider for any 92.9 Triple M listeners who head down between 4-6pm tonight!
