VFL Bombers to regain AFL-listed midfield trio.
Essendon VFL has named its side to face Gold Coast’s reserves at People First Stadium this Saturday.
Midfielder Ben Hobbs will make his return from a niggling calf injury, while the VFL on-ball brigade is also boosted by Will Setterfield and Elijah Tsatas, who each make way from the AFL side this coming weekend.
Saad El-Hawli has been ruled out after an unfortunate syndesmosis injury in the VFL side’s win over Carlton a fortnight ago, with Sam Weideman also set for a stint on the sidelines after receiving a three-match suspension for a high hit in the same game.
Key forward Jack Jedwab is back in the line-up, whereas Oskar Smartt and Bailey Scott have been named as emergencies this week.
The Dons face the Suns from 11am AEST, with streaming available via the AFL website.
