Raiders veteran Elliott Whitehead has reportedly signed a deal that will see him return to the Super League, departing the NRL to join the Catalans Dragons in 2025.
Whitehead revealed at the start of the 2024 season that this one would be his last in the nation’s capital and Sky Sports reporter Jenna Brooks is reporting he’s locked in his future.
The veteran back rower joined the Raiders ahead of the 2026 season, going on to feature in 195 NRL games to date.

With Hull FC also reportedly interested in Whitehead’s services, the gun forward made a promise to Dragons owner which he is set to fulfil.
Whitehead told Bernard Gauasch he would return to the Catalans club at some point before he moved to the NRL in 2016.
He played three seasons in the south of France between 2013 and 2015.
The Raiders gun announced in November 2023 that he would be retiring from international football, playing 27 games for England.
“It has been a privilege to wear the England shirt as many times as I have – it’s the highest honour you can get,” Whitehead said.
“However, with some fantastic young English players coming through, now feels like the right time for me to step aside and let them take their opportunity.”
NOFOALUMA’S NEW CLUB
Former Tigers flyer David Nofoaluma has reportedly found a new club, signing with the Glebe Dirty Reds in the third-tier Ron Massey Cup.
Nofoaluma recently departed Super League club Salford after only two games, having been sacked by the Tigers during the club’s 2024 pre-season.
According to The Daily Telegraph, the 30-year-old still has aspirations to play in the NRL and is set to make his club debut on Saturday.
Former New Zealand international centre Dean Whare, Kane Evans and Craig Garvey currently play for the Glebe outfit.
