Back Me
I am stunned that 11 Mountain Breeze (Bet Now: $3.10) isn’t a dominant favourite, odds on even. She looks a rising star for Charlie Appleby that is 2/2 to start her career, both wins coming at Newmarket, winning over 1000m before stretching to 1200m where she was arrogant, much like she was on debut. She’ll eat up 1200m at Ascot, get good cover and I think will just finish over the top. Really keen.
Danger
5 Fairy Godmother (Bet Now: $2.90) is the key and I dare say only threat. Aidan O’Brien trained filly that was a very strong winner over this trip at Naas last time when held up before angling clear and she got better as the race went on, letting down with purpose late to win well. Staying at 1200m is the knock given she is looking like she wants further but stable is flying.
Long Shot
6 Heavens Gate (Bet Now: $8.50) is a stablemate of Fairy Godmother that comes here off a maiden win at Curragh where she was near the speed throughout but moved with purpose under Ryan Moore before drawing clear, showing good change up speed between the 400m-200m and was dominant on the line. Harder here, but think she can measure up.

Back Me
Keen to be with 1 Elite Status (Bet Now:
$SP.00). He didn’t quite measure up at the top level as a juvenile but now turned three, he looks to have returned in beast mode given he led throughout at Haydock and made an absolute mess of them, running good time in the process. He’s got a good racing style, returned super and clearly has been set for the race.
Danger
4 Inisherin (Bet Now: $3.20) commands respect. This colt was on speed and just felt the pinch late two back in the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket before going to 1200m in the Sandy Lane at Haydock, leading throughout and he was dominant the way he put them away. Sprinting looks his go in life and off last run, he’ll take beating.
Long Shot
9 Malc (Bet Now: $23.00) is an improver at odds for Richard Fahey. He ran fourth in the Elite Status race mentioned above at Haydock. He was back off the speed nearer the outside rail and looked to be trucking. He was there to win but I just think condition gave way late in the piece when fourth. 1200m is a query, but with a soft trip, drag into the race, he’s a threat for sure at odds.

Back Me
Like 5 Opera Singer (Bet Now: $4.40). Aidan O’Brien trained filly that resumed in the Irish 1000 Guineas at Curragh where she had a suck run in transit behind the speed but when Ryan Moore asked for the effort, the wheels just span and he couldn’t quite pick her feet up in the conditions behind Fallen Angel, scraping in for third. I think firmer footing is a big, big tick for her, and has enormous upside, as well as runs on the board from when she was a juvenile.
Danger
3 Elmalka (Bet Now: $7.50) is a Roger Varian trained daughter of Kingman that comes here with fresh legs, having not raced since the 1000 Guineas at Newmarket where she really knuckled down with purpose to finish best and just got there in a sharp display. Not sure how deep the field was there, but that form and that class of race has to be respected as a key reference for this.
Long Shot
2 Devoted Queen (Bet Now:
$SP.00)…beware the unbeaten horse. 3/3 for Charlie Appleby, the latest win coming at York where she was off the speed before angling wider into clear air, went through her gears and was quite strong to the line in getting the job done. This is clearly her hardest test to date, but if the 1000 Guineas form is rubbish, this girl is here to pick up the pieces.
Race 4. (01:25) Duke Of Edinburgh Stakes 2406m

Back Me
15 Shadow Dance (Bet Now: $9.00) gets the nod for me in what looks an open contest. He resumed for Roger Varian, having not raced since October at Newmarket when getting the suck run in transit and looked the winner when booting clesr but was nabbed late. First up in a race like this tells me there is intent.
Danger
9 Deakin (Bet Now: $8.00) commands respect for Joseph O’Brien. He resumed at Curragh where he had the run of the race just behind the speed and loomed to win when presented with clear air but just couldn’t quite finish it off. Fitter and up in trip, he only runs well.
Long Shot
8 Epic Poet (Bet Now: $27.00) is an improver at odds. He resumed over 2000m at York where he got back to near last in the run and while he was never a winning threat, he kept finding the line and was quite good in defeat. Like him up in trip and I do feel his best is good enough.

Back Me
17 Indelible (Bet Now: $5.50) is a filly for Ralph Beckett that should take beating here. I thought there was quality about her win at Doncaster last time. The margin was narrow but the ticker she showed to fight and surge late was impressive. Heading in the right direction and confident she can measure up.
Danger
22 Zaynab (Bet Now: $26.00) is a filly on the up and looks promising. Last start win at Curragh was enormous. She tracked the speed and looked gone because she was getting badly held up but she managed to get clear and savaged the line to win. She’ll be strong late and has good upside.
Long Shot
21 Nocturnal (Bet Now: $31.00) is a James Ferguson trained filly that resumes. She has to bring her Synthetic form to the Turf but the form around her does read quite well. This is clearly a harder assignment but I think she has the engine under the hood to run well.
Race 6. (02:40) King Edward Vll Stakes 2406m

Back Me
10 Space Legend (Bet Now: $5.00) on top for me here. William Haggas trained three year old that you can make a strong case should have won at Goodwood last time. He got badly held up behind the speed when wanting to get clear and build the revs. He eventually got clear and charged late to run a narrow second. He’ll love getting to 2400m at Ascot and with room to move, rates highly.
Danger
5 Diego Velazquez (Bet Now: $3.10) is a big improver back on firmer footing. Good in defeat two back at Longchamp before going to the French Derby where he found a wet track and just couldn’t pick up in the conditions, finishing down the track. Back on top of the ground and with his best, he can bounce back.
Long Shot
3 Chief Little Rock (Bet Now: $14.00) rises in grade/depth but he’s heading in the right direction for Aidan O’Brien. Not sure he beat much at Curragh last time but he was dominant from on speed, going through his gears like a nice horse and won with something in hand. Harder here, but think he can measure up.
Race 7. (03:15) Palace Of Holyrood House Stakes 1006m

Back Me
6 Jubilee Walk (Bet Now: $5.50) is the way I am leaning in the get out. James Ferguson trained three year old that has won a couple on the bounce, the latest being at York where he had the suck run in behind before angling inside for clear air and he got better as the race went on, winning impressively. Strong at the end of 1000m and in form, he’ll do me.
Danger
21 Dorney Lake (Bet Now: $9.50) is heading on an upward spiral for Team Gosden and has a good racing style. He took on three rivals at Lingfield last time where he led throughout, finding the outside fence and he was always in control, winning quite comfortably and running solid time. Harder here, clearly, but good racing style and will be strong late given last run was 1200m.
Long Shot
27 Vantheman (Bet Now: $10.00) ran second to Jubilee Walk in the York race mentioned above. He was near the speed throughout and presented to win around 300m out but had no answers late for the finale of Jubilee Walk and ran second, but did safely hold the rest. Drawn to be near the front, he’ll give a sight I am sure.
