LUBBOCK, Texas— The Lubbock Alzheimer’s Association is hosting a women’s flag football game to raise awareness for the fight against Alzheimer’s.
This event will occur on June 28 at 6 p.m. at the Lubbock-Cooper Pirate Stadium.
According to the press release, this event raises awareness of Alzheimer’s Association’s Longest Day. The women’s flag football game will raise money and awareness to advance the support and research efforts for Alzheimer’s. Concessions and tailgating opportunities will also be available.
“It’s all about the moments, and I will fight for more moments,” said Diana Torres, the volunteer and team captain of The Longest Day Women’s Football fundraising event.
The Longest Day participants fundraise through sports tournaments, card games, golf, hiking, biking and bake sales.
