What a contrast at the Queen’s Club Championships within the space of 24 hours, from the deflation of Andy Murray’s painful exit to the elation of a tremendous second-round win for Jack Draper against the reigning Wimbledon and French Open champion, Carlos Alcaraz.

The capacity crowd of 9,000 lapped up every minute of Draper’s 7-6 (7-3), 6-3 victory. They witnessed what could be a watershed moment for the 22-year-old Briton, beating one of the sport’s best players on home soil. With only 11 days to go before Wimbledon begins, some could inevitably be heard pondering whether he has what it takes to go all the way at the All England Club.
