The ground was literally shaking as Afghanistan celebrated its seismic T20 World Cup victory over Australia, with Arnos Vale Ground experiencing minor earthquake tremors on Sunday afternoon AEST.

Moments after the final delivery of Afghanistan’s historic 21-run victory over Australia, a magnitude 6.2 earthquake struck 97 kilometers northwest of Trinidad’s Port of Spain, with lengthy tremors felt in St. Vincent and northeastern Guyana.

There is currently no tsunami threat, or reports of damage or injuries, but power outages were reported across northwestern Trinidad in Santa Cruz and Goodwood.

Cricket journalists were asked to stay away from windows as the press box rattled during the ordeal.
