Tickets are officially on sale for a massive summer of international cricket, in which world-class teams from India, Pakistan, England, and New Zealand will be competing in a season that cricket fans have been waiting for.
The summer will be headlined by the highly anticipated Border-Gavaskar Trophy, the first time this series has been played over five Test Matches since 1991/1992.
The summer also sees the Women’s Ashes up for grabs on Australian soil, including the historic first women’s Test Match at the Melbourne Cricket Ground since 1948/1949.
That series will reach a crucial juncture here in Canberra, with the second Ashes Twenty20 International to be played at Manuka Oval on Thursday, 23 January 2025.
Australian allrounder Sophie Molineux says she can’t wait to get back to a venue the Australian Women have long enjoyed.
“Anyone that’s played at Manuka, especially in an international match, reflects on it as being a really special place to play.
“It’s a boutique ground, but it’s got an incredible atmosphere when it’s full. I’m from a small country town in Bairnsdale, so when I come to Canberra, I feel like I’m nearly home.
“I think we’re all hoping there’ll be plenty of support at Manuka, as there always is.
“On top of that, it being an Ashes T20 match, hopefully the crowd’s nice and loud, and on our side against the Poms.”
