Julian Edelman terms Aaron Rodgers missing mandatory minicamp as ‘bad look’ on Jets’ part

Julian Edelman believes that Aaron Rodgers’ absence right before the offseason training camp is a bad look for the New York Jets. The retired NFL receiver showed concern for the new players and the morale inside the locker room.

Edelman was a guest speaker on the recent episode of FS1’s The Herd, hosted by Colin Cowherd. Ironically, Cowherd remains one of the biggest critics of Rodgers for missing the Jets Mandatory minicamp last week.

It became an even bigger issue after head coach Robert Saleh revealed that the 40-year-old knew that the absence was ‘unexcused’ and yet still chose to miss the minicamp. Julian Edelman, who locked horns with Rodgers for more than a decade, concluded that it doesn’t paint a good picture for the franchise.

I think it’s a bad look for your leader, for whatever reason, to go and miss an unexcused absence. Julian Edelman said

The ex-New England Patriots playmaker and one of the key targets for Tom Brady disclosed that the 7 time Super Bowl winner would occasionally miss OTAs toward the end of his career but never skipped minicamp. Aaron Rodgers, being the senior most player on the Jets roster, should set an example of punctuality for the young ones. Instead, he jetted off to somewhere unknown.
