The Girls are Back in Town
Well, we all know that athletes often have offset class schedules, and the training never stops, either. The reality that it’s a whole new coaching staff really focuses the effort on just getting to know one another for more than PR opportunities. The team is moved into their Summer dorms and now is getting to work over at Hahn-Hurst to get started with their practices, conditioning, and getting used to how Coach Duffy does things behind the scenes. It’s time for school, too, but the biggest thing to learn is everything that is new.
Welcome to Hokie Nation!
Coach Duffy and Crew are hard on the trail for new recruits. This weekend, they landed a new commitment, Amani Jenkins to the future Hokie roster. Jenkins is a class of 2025 student athlete at Johnston High School in Johnston, Iowa. A touch of Coach Duffy’s Midwest coaching roots are going to keep cropping up. Amani is listed at #43 in the Class of 2025 Junior All-Star rankings, and a premium commitment for Coach Duffy and staff.
There is some getting to know you time up on the PR front for incoming player Lani White.
And No, The Kitleys Have Not Moved on and We are Thrilled
Raven and Liz are always continuing their campaign to help people and families dealing with autism. Raven has been adopted into Hokie Nation and we hope to see the Kitleys at games this season. They’ve been nominated for the NIL Store Philanthropic Spirit Award for their campaign for Autism Awareness.
Coach Duffy and Staff are Settling In
Lots of work ahead, but smiles and laughs always make the work lighter.
