Must read

Bec Judd has shared renovation plans for her $1.2million getaway pad on Victoria’s holiday coast.

Located in Main Ridge near Arthur’s Seat, just 85 kilometres from Melbourne on the Mornington Peninsula, she told fans on Tuesday the revamped home will feature three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a luxurious sculptured garden.

The 41-year-old WAG said the renovation will also include installing a circular pool and a small extension on the original dwelling.

In a new video posted to The Melbourne Builder Instagram, the genetically blessed former TV presenter explained she bought the home with husband Chris Judd when she was still pregnant with their twin boys.

After welcoming sons Darcy and Tom in 2016, Bec said she put plans to renovate the property on the back burner.

Construction has now commenced on the property, which is being done by prestige firm The Melbourne Builder and Co.

‘We’re taking out [walls] and making the living spaces bigger,’ Bec said in the post.

The former model described the new design for the property as ‘country ranch’ and revealed plans for a lavish kitchen.

She also said the new pad will feature Patagonia, a quartzite stone from South America and supplied by Melbourne company Signorino.

‘Its very bold and it helps to elevate a warm neutral palette,’ she said.

An animated designer’s clip also shared in the post revealed that Bec plans to use the lavish stone for a breakfast island.

Other architectural simulations shared to the post show what the original modest home will look like once complete.

Features include what appears to be a lunch outdoor entertainment with BBQ.

Bec made headlines back in March when she took to social media to announce she was planning to donate the entire contents of the original home to charity.

Taking to Instagram she asked her 758,000 followers for advice on which charity to donate to.

She said everything in the property would be included – from crockery to appliances – and shared her desire to donate to a refugee housing charity or women’s shelter.

She wrote: ‘We are about to renovate our Mornington Peninsula house and would like to donate the entire contents to a charity who needs a full home set-up.’

‘Everything in the house is included; sofa, beds, bunks, cot, rugs, tables, chairs, appliances, decorator, cutlery, crockery, cookware, linen etc.’

‘Please let me know who I can donate to? I’d prefer to donate to one charity instead of splitting everything up. Pick up from Arthurs Seat.’

‘Thinking refugee housing or women and children’s shelters. Open to suggestions. Thanks.’

Rebecca and Chris, 40, purchased their sprawling property at Main Ridge in 2016 for for $1.2 million, while they also own a $7.3million Brighton, Melbourne mansion.

In August 2022, their plans to update the hideaway to create ‘secluded, modern, rural escape’ were approved by the Mornington Peninsula Shire, The Herald Sun reported at the time.

Sitting not far from a country road near the small town of Arthurs Seat, the bush property is home to towering trees, ferns and native plants.

The idyllic country home also features gardens, an orchard and a vegetable patch.
