Shane Warne’s youngest daughter Summer has revealed her shock new career move.
The 22-year-old took to Instagram on Wednesday to announce her acting debut in the upcoming film Navigating Juvenescence.
Summer shared a snippet of herself on set of the Aussie film, directed by Mitchell Law, which follows a group of high school students as they approach their graduation.
In an interview with Yahoo Australia, Summer shared her struggles of growing up in the public eye because of her cricket star father.
“I never asked to be in this life. And I think it was just very hard growing up in an environment where your whole life is kind of on screen,” she said.
“And if Dad made a mistake, it would reflect on me. And, you know, I thought people were looking at me differently.
“But at the end of the day, Dad was who he was, and I loved him. And you know, he couldn’t do wrong in my eyes, he’s my dad and I love him to bits,” she added.
The Australian cricket legend died in 2022 aged 52, after he was found unresponsive in his villa in Koh Samui, Thailand.
He left behind daughters Brooke, 26, Summer, 22 and son Jackson, 25, whom he shared with ex-wife Simone Callahan.
While Summer is making it on the big screens, his other daughter Brooke is making waves on social media.
Brooke has amassed a large following online as a lifestyle influencer and frequently goes viral sharing fashion and food content.
She also shares her daily life across TikTok and Instagram, boasting a combined following of more than 118k.
