Belmont racing tips

Race 1. (13:24) Amelia Park Plate (1200m)

#2 – Supido Express

Supido Express won well on debut at Belmont, and we fancy his chances of winning again.

The two-year-old gelding by Supido scored by only a nose, but it was a driving effort, and it was good to see.

Barrier 10 is tough, but he’s worth backing in the opener.

Race 2. (14:01) Free Entry to Belmont BM72 (1400m)

#6 – Celebrity Prince

Celebrity Prince got back to winning form at Belmont, and he could kick on with it.

The four-year-old gelding by Xtravagant owns two wins and three placings from six starts at Belmont, which is a good form guide.

Getting the inside draw and a light weight helps.

Race 3. (14:41) Celebrating Grant Burgess (1300m)

#7 – Hidden Ruby

Hidden Ruby is already a three-time winner this campaign, and she runs well with Natasha Faithfull in the saddle.

She owns five wins and seven placings from 20 starts, and punters get value odds for the in-form daughter of Flying Artie.

We’re happy to include her in an even betting race.

Race 4. (15:19) Drummond Golf 1MW (1000m)

#4 – Isola Bay

Isola Bay didn’t finish off last campaign with much, but his best form would be good enough.

The five-year-old owns seven wins from 17 starts, and three of his wins have come fresh up.

Getting 2kg off his back helps, and being from the Adam Durrant stable adds to his appeal.

Race 5. (15:54) Mrs Macs Handicap (1400m)

#10 – Prospector’s Pick

Prospector’s Pick was too good for them at Pinjarra last time out, and the win came easily.

The three-year-old son of Snippetson won by 3.8 lengths in dominant fashion, and getting down in the weights is a bonus.

Look for a betting push on race day.

Race 6. (16:44) Peters Investments 1MW (2200m)

#7 – Divine Mercy

Divine Mercy won well earlier this campaign at Albany, and he could turn around his poor form at Belmont.

The five-year-old son of Mikki Isle has yet to win or place from six starts at Belmont, but that could be turned around on Saturday.

The generous odds are worth taking.

Race 7. (17:20) Tabtouch Winter Series BM58 (1400m)

#4 – Bird’s the Word

Bird’s the Word is knocking on the door after consecutive placings at Belmont.

The four-year-old son of Galah is a professional seven-time winner from 31 starts, including a win at Belmont.

He likes to ride the speed, and he will be tough to run down.

Race 8. (18:00) Accolade Wines BM66 (1600m)

#2 – Falcon Trader @ $3.90

Falcon Trader is already a two-time winner this campaign, and he went close at Belmont when second last time out.

The four-year-old gelding by My Admiration is a six-time winner from 16 starts, and the statistics read well.

The each-way odds are well worth snapping up.

Race 9. (18:36) Swan Draught BM66 (1200m)

#1 – Rockin’ Rupert

Rockin’ Rupert won well at Ascot three back before winning at Belmont last time out.

The five-year-old gelding by Winning Rupert is a four-time winner at the track, and having that experience helps his cause.

1.5kg comes off his back to help with the big weight.
