Contentious fashion trend of the noughties making a comeback

They may have been one of the most contentious styles of the noughties, but jeggings are making a comeback.

Gen Z appear to be embracing the stretchy, denim print fashion, which divided opinion during its last run around 2010.

But luckily, it’s a new and improved version featuring shapewear label Spanx, which has released straight-leg and flare jeans that are actually classified as jeggings.

The items featured in a recent edition of Vogue Australia and while Gen Z may have mocked Millennials who have admitted to owning a pair back in the day, it seems they are now on board with the update.

Women took to social media to review the Spanx product, admitting they like the soft and stretchy feel, the extra comfort with no buttons or zippers and saying they are “perfect if you want some mobility or just to go shopping”.
