The end of financial year is upon us and our favourite stores have been dropping some pretty hefty sales to mark it.
For instance, Myer’s massive “Winter Stocktake Sale” includes some 58,000 items across sectors including fashion, beauty, travel and tech.
From Dyson to Bose, there are plenty of big brands discounted.

Anyone shopping for a new vacuum cleaner might be keen to snap up the Dyson V8, reduced from $799 to just $399, or the top of the range newest model, the V15 Detect Absolute, which is down to $999 from $1,449.
Other discounted Dyson products include the Hot and Cool Purifying Fan Heater, down to $899 from $999, and top-end beauty buys such as the Corrale Cordless Straightener, down to $579 from $699, and the best-selling SuperSonic Hair Dryer, which now costs $485 instead of $649.
As a proud owner of the SuperSonic, I can personally attest to its ability to deliver a salon-quality blow dry from home, without any of the heat damage.
Reviewers agree. It has a 4.8-star rating on the Myer website, where it has been described as “the best investment” and “worth the money”.
Of course, it’s not just Dyson included in the deals at Myer.
I’ve got my eye on the designer brand Chloe-inspired Marcs Zip Top Tote Bag, down to $76.97 from $109.95.
The bag has always been a bestseller at Myer, thanks to the fact it looks infinitely more expensive than it is.
I’m also in the market for a KitchenAid Stand Mixer, and the Myer deal that slashes its price from $1,049 to $699 feels too good to ignore.
The Philips Compact Air Fryer, down to $99 from $199, is also a steal for those who are yet to take the plunge on an air fryer.
There’s plenty of travel and tech included in the deals, too.
Top-rated suitcases from the likes of Samsonite have been reduced from $465 to $279, as well as the July-inspired Kadi Large Check-in Suitcase, which is down to $224.50 from $449.
I also love the Samsonite Classic Leather Slim Backpack, down to $179.40 from $299, and think it’s the perfect bag for work, short-haul travel and commuting.
Reviewers call the bag “great quality” and “exactly what I needed”.
Anyone who knows me will know I never fly anywhere without my Bose QuietComfort Headphones, so it’s great to see them reduced from $349.95 to $297.46.
Whatever price these are, I believe they are an investment — and mine have lasted me for years and come with me everywhere, from meetings to international trips.
I also love my Garmin Smartwatch, and there are a series of Garmin models which have been slashed in price at Myer, such as the VivoActive 5, down to $424.15 from $499.
Homewares and home products are also included in the sale.
The best deals come in the form of The Cooks Collective 10-Piece Cookset, which now costs $249 instead of $599.95, as well as the Breville Coffee Machine, down to $699 from $999.
There are also a number of top-rated beauty buys, such as Elizabeth Arden’s White Tea Eau de Toilette, which now costs $80 instead of $100, and Calvin Klein’s Eternity For Her, down to $64.80 from $108.
