The NSW 19-year-old with a 205-page manifesto arrested by NSW Police allegedly threatened the Prime Minster’s family.

Jordan Patten, 19, was reading a 205-page manifesto he had written, vowing to commit a mass-killing, when he was arrested by NSW Police with a knife outside NSW state Labor MP Tim Crakanthorp’s office.

The manifesto was sent to a number of high-profile figures in the media and politics, who immediately notified police.

The teenager was dressed in tactical gear and armed with several weapons.

Patten has been charged with doing an act in preparation for a terrorist attack.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese became emotional on Friday when he revealed Patten had allegedly directly referenced his own family.

“That documentation that was made is very concerning, including threats not just to Labor MPs, but to others, to my family,” he said.

“It’s another reason why families should be off-limits from the media.

“It’s something that is of concern, a very direct threat. I applaud the security agencies and police for the swift action that they undertook.”

The PM declared the teenager see the “full force of the law”.

“There’s no place for extremism in Australia.”

The opposition has also condemned the act of coming after a politician’s family, with Shadow Attorney General Michaelia Cash speaking out.

“I have no doubt that he was very upset, no politician and indeed no politician’s family deserve to be subjected to this type of threat or indeed any physical violence.”

“It is completely unacceptable, I know it is now before the courts, but I do hope that this person does face the full force of the law.

“When you look at the media reporting of what was allegedly in the manifesto, it is just unacceptable behaviour.”

The 205-page manifesto, titled “Towards A Better Society” was motivated by Norwegian neo-Nazi Anders Breivik, The Australian revealed.

His family members informed the media on Thursday that he is autistic.
