NEW YORK (Kyodo) — Recently graduated college basketball standout Keisei Tominaga was not selected by an NBA team when the second round of the draft was held Thursday.

The 23-year-old University of Nebraska-Lincoln graduate hopes to receive an NBA offer after playing for Japan at the upcoming Paris Olympics. The sharp-shooting guard won this year’s National Collegiate Athletics Association three-point contest.

Also on Thursday, the Los Angeles Lakers selected Bronny James, the eldest son of LeBron James, with the 55th overall pick in the second round.

The 19-year-old guard for the University of Southern California averaged 4.8 points and 2.1 assists last season. LeBron and Bronny James will become the first father-son teammates in NBA history.
