Australian star Oscar Piastri had an all-time response to Austrian grand prix winner George Russell as they watched footage of Max Verstappen and Lando Norris’ race-deciding collision.
Verstappen and Norris came together with only seven laps remaining and the incident left both with punctures.

Norris was eventually forced to retire from the race while Verstappen slipped down the leaderboard as Russell swooped in to take the lead as Piastri and Carlos Sainz rounded out the podium in second and third respectively.
As is tradition in the post-race formalities, the drivers re-watched some of the highlights in the cool-down room.
It wasn’t long before Norris and Verstappen’s collision was played on the screen in front of the trio.
“Cool fight though,” Russell said.
“That was a very cool fight.”
However, Piastri issued the perfect reply: “Well, you did just win the race because of it.”

Piastri’s retort earned laughs from Russell and Sainz.
Norris’ on-board camera was then shown and sparked groans from the trio as Piastri said: “No way.”
Knowing Piastri’s earlier claim wasn’t exactly false, it prompted further nervous laughs from Russell and Sainz before the Mercedes driver declared: “We shouldn’t laugh.”
Speaking after the race, Russell revealed he expected Norris to go all out in an attempt to beat Verstappen so he had to be prepared to take full advantage of any slip-ups.
“It was a tough fight out there at the beginning of the race just to hold on to that third place and I saw on the TV that Max and Lando were getting pretty close,” Russell said.
“I knew Lando would want to try to get that race win. He was fired up.
“The team has done an amazing job to put us in this fight and you’ve got to be there in the end to pick up the pieces. They were going for it. It was a cool fight though!”
Sainz said: “It was going to happen at some point between these two.”
