Keeping up with day one of Wimbledon 2024 required a nimble thumb on the remote control.
The coverage kicked off on BBC2 at 10.30am, then at 12.15pm it was all change to BBC1. A mere 45 minutes later we were shunted back to BBC2 again, before BBC1 rejoined the party at 2pm. Talk about going back and forth like a fiddler’s elbow. It was almost a couch potato’s workout. A few viewers took to Twitter/X to grumble. “For the love of God, just pick a channel,” wrote one.
