He turned 18 on Thursday, two days before the crash.

It was that milestone he was celebrating on Saturday night when the ute he and four friends were in rolled on Farrington Road, North Lake, hitting an oncoming Jeep.

Floral tributes have grown for the teen.

His old school said: “There are no adequate words to express our grief and sympathy around the loss of this wonderful young man.”

Cockburn Cricket Club’s message was: “We are thankful of the time we spent with Nick. A life well lived but gone way too soon.”
