AFL team news: Duo return in Round 18

Must read

Two Blues will return to the AFL side after impressive VFL performances.

MARC Pittonet will return for the Round 18 clash with the Bulldogs on Saturday afternoon.

Pittonet put together an impressive performance last week against the Giants in the VFL, where he delivered 33 hitouts, 26 disposals, 13 contested possessions and six score involvements.

Caleb Marchbank will also return to the defensive lineup after a string of comprehensive games in the VFL, with his height a solid substitution for teammate Mitch McGovern.

McGovern (hip flexor) was unavailable for selection after being unable to train on Thursday, with the defender expected to be sidelined for the next 1-2 weeks, while Orazio Fantasia has been omitted.

Jack Martin will make his return to play this week via the VFL, when the Carlton Reserves take on the Western Bulldogs on Sunday at the Whitten Oval.

In what is sure to be an already exciting match-up under the roof, Carlton skipper Patrick Cripps will play his 200th game on Saturday at Marvel Stadium, searching for a win to top off a day of celebration.
