Ageless Nicole Kidman stuns on red carpet with Zac Efron

Aussie Oscar winner Nicole Kidman has wowed on the red carpet for the premiere of her latest Netflix film in which the legendary actress will be reunited with former co-star Zac Efron.

Nicole Kidman has become the first Australian to win the American Film Institute Lifetime Achievement Award.

The auspicious award has previously been won by actors such as Meryl Streep, Al Pacino and Julie Andrews.

The accomplishment recognises her 40-year career.

The movie star who grew up in Sydney announced on social media she is deeply honoured to receive the award.

Ms Kidman will receive the award during a ceremony at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

Kidman, 56, stunned in an elegant pale pink gown with a strapless, corset-style bodice and a thigh-high slit.

The fashion icon finished the look with a dramatic gold choker necklace and wore her long strawberry blonde hair tied back.

The new comedy film stars Kidman as a widowed mother who begins a passionate affair with her daughter’s boss played by Efron.

A Family Affair also reunites Kidman and Efron following their earlier collaboration on the steamy 2012 thriller The Paperboy.

The glamorous red carpet outing comes days after Kidman confirmed that she will reprise her role as Gillian Owens in a sequel to the cult classic 1998 film Practical Magic.

Earlier this week, Deadline reported Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman were in final negotiations to return for Practical Magic 2, more than two decades after the first film hit screens.

While the original Practical Magic was seen as a box office disappointment and grossed only $68.3 million worldwide against a $75 million budget, the film has subsequently built a loyal fanbase on home video and streaming.

“Yes I will be in it. And Sandy will be in it. And that’s that,” Kidman told People on the Family Affair red carpet.

“There’s a lot more to tell, which is why we go, ‘OK, this is kind of interesting now to be able to do this.’ (We) found a way in.”

Kidman, who was recently awarded the American Film Institute’s Lifetime Achievement Award for her body of work, is on a roll lately with four new films currently in the works.

Among her projects, Kidman will portray a high-ranking CEO who engages in an affair with a younger colleague in Babygirl.

She is also an inside favourite to pick up her fourth Emmy nomination next month for her role in the Prime Video limited series Expats.
