Aldi shopper shocked by ‘rude’ find on a packet of red onions

An Aldi customer was left in disbelief after making a rude discovery while unpacking her groceries. 

The Irish shopper discovered an insulting image of a hand with the middle finger sticking up on the label of a bag of red onions. 

Images of the perplexing find have been circulating online with some offended by the mysterious mishap and others skeptical of its legitimacy.

‘What’s going on with the produce tags flipping me off?’ a woman asked in a Reddit post with a snap of the onion tag. 

She claimed that while the symbol looks like it’s been drawn on in the photo, it was ‘definitely printed on the tag’.

‘Maybe someone’s last day at the factory?’ she speculated. 

Many thought the ill-mannered mistake was hilarious with one jokingly calling the onions ‘punk’. 

‘I can’t stop laughing,’ one woman replied.

‘They’ll probably make you cry,’ laughed a third. 

‘That’s exactly how I feel about red onions,’ someone jested.

Some said they loved the crude tag with one claiming: ‘I want to buy those onions now’.  

‘Going to Aldi right flipping now,’ a second replied. 

But not everyone saw the funny side and others thought the scenario had been crafted for social media.  

One person even found a stamp on Amazon that looked just like the figure on the label leading more to believe it was put there by a rebellious shopper

‘If you find these labels please report them. They obviously came from the company because these are printed not drawn on,’ one shopper complained. 

Others thought the marking was the work of a disgruntled staff member while some guessed it could have been a mischievous customer with a stamp. 

One person even found a stamp on Amazon that looked just like the figure on the label leading more to believe it was put there by a rebellious shopper.  

Someone clearly making the most of their last day working for label printers,’ one user guessed. 

They clearly put a sticker over it, if you zoom in you can tell,’ a second theorised. 

‘Guessing someone got bored with a stamp,’ another chimed in.
