ALDI urgently pulls popular buy from spice aisle

A popular spice shelf product sold at ALDI has been recalled due to salmonella contamination.

Stonemill’s Sesame Seeds 60g has been available for sale at stores in Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia.

The product is contaminated with salmonella, according to Food Standards Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ).

“Food products contaminated with Salmonella may cause illness if consumed,” it said.

“Consumers should not eat this product.”

Those who have purchased the product can return it to any ALDI Store for a full refund.

“Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice,” FSANZ said.
