Must read

Alison Edmond has been tapped as artistic and fashion director at The Hollywood Reporter. The newly created role will have Edmond continuing to style and direct the magazine’s photo shoots. Already she has styled numerous cover shoots (including Glen Powell, Jon Hamm and Liam Neeson) and roundtables for the magazine, which like WWD, is owned by Penske Media Corporation. She will work closely with THR’s creative director Peter Cury and visual director Ash Barharmand.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Alison onto the THR team,” THR’s co-editors in chief Nekesa Mumbi Moody and Maer Roshan said in a statement. “She brings incredible experience and an exceptional reputation in the industry to the role, having styled some of the most high-profile celebrities in the world. We are excited to bring her well trained eye and creative vision to our brand.”

Edmond began her career at British Vogue, first under Anna Wintour and then under Elizabeth Tilberis. She relocated from her native U.K. to Los Angeles to become West Coast editor of Harper’s Bazaar, eventually returning to London at Bazaar UK, where she oversaw the creative direction of more than 100 covers during a 12-year tenure. She moved back to Los Angeles in 2009 to work for Hearst-owned Marie Claire and Elle. She was most recently head of creative at men’s lifestyle and culture platform MrFeelgood.com. She also was art director for Brad Pitt and Sat Hari’s apparel brand.
