Kerry have drawn Derry in the All-Ireland SFC quarter-final next weekend, a repeat of their All-Ireland semi-final last year which Kerry won by 1-17 to 1-15.

Their meeting pits the the only team with a 100pc championship record in 2024 against the team which has lost three championship games and drawn one in normal time so far which will really test the credibility of this format.

Derry made the quarter-finals courtesy of a penalty shootout win over Mayo last weekend.

In the other quarter-finals, Dublin will play Galway, Armagh have drawn Derry and Donegal will play Louth for the first time ever in a championship game.

Dublin’s last championship game against Galway was the 2018 All-Ireland semi-final.

The GAA’s Central Competitions Controls Committee will determine times and dates for all four games later today but it looks likely that Louth, having played on Sunday, will be given seven days, putting their game with Donegal on Sunday.

The GAA are expected to fix two of the quarter-finals for next Saturday evening and two for Sunday afternoon.

RTÉ will broadcast two games while GAAGO have rights to the other two.
