Australian confectionery brand Allen’s is set to rerelease two iconic lollies across stores nationwide.

Fans will be delighted to know packets of Spearmint Leaves will hit the shelves in August since quietly disappearing in stores.

The green leaf-shaped gummy often divided opinions with it spearmint flavour that often tastes like toothpaste.

In a surprising twist, the brand also secretly relaunched the long-loved Sherbies around the country for $5 per packet, which is now available.

Aussies will recall chewing through the sweet tangy orange flavour to reach the sherbet-filled centre.

The Grocery Geek Australia was one of the first to share the news on Instagram and sent customers into a spin.

Dozens of Aussies rejoiced but it’s clear majority prefer Sherbies over Spearmint Leaves.

‘So they’re bringing back Spearmint leaves but got rid of Fantales?’ one wrote.

The brand also confirmed to FEMAIL 150g packs of Sherbies are now available in stores nationwide for $5 each

Nestlé Oceania Head of Marketing Confectionery, Melanie Chen said the brand is delighted to bring back Allen’s Spearmint Leaves later this year.

‘We know mint fans love the sweet chewy tang of Spearmint Leaves, as well as being a favourite decoration among bakers. What’s more, it’s vegan-friendly!’ she said.

‘Allen’s Spearmint Leaves will be available exclusively at Woolworths and independent supermarkets, so get in quick.

‘We also have some extra sweet sweet news today – Allen’s Sherbies are now back in their own bag! The first orange-chew bite with its pocket of sherbet is ready and waiting for chewy lolly lovers. It’s available now in all major retailers in 150g for $5.’

Earlier this year in January fans were left gobsmacked after discovering the real flavour of Allen’s snake lollies.

A conversation sparked on TikTok when comedian Tanya Hennessy shared the ‘distressing news’ with her 339,000 followers.

While most people think of obvious answers, the orange snake flavour is apricot and the green snake flavour is zesty lemon. Other flavours include strawberry, blackberry and pineapple.

The realisation left Tanya and hundreds of other ‘mind blown’.
