Apple Vision Pro Coming To 8 New Countries In June And July

Must read

Apple announced today that Apple Vision Pro will be available in eight new countries in the coming months. Currently only available in the United States, Apple Vision Pro will come to China, Japan and Singapore on June 28. Apple will add five more countries on July 12: Australia, Canada, France, Germany and the United Kingdom.

What Apple didn’t announce?

Pricing for any of those counties.

Currently Apple Vision Pro is priced at $3,500 in the United States. It’s possible, though unlikely, that Apple will use this market expansion for Apple Vision Pro to change that slightly. Most likely, however, the prices in various markets will be essentially conversions to local currency.

If so, the prices will be:

  • China: 24,502 CNY
  • Japan: 484,415 JPY
  • Singapore: 4,725 SGD
  • Australia: 5,195 AUD
  • Canada: 4,725 CAD
  • France: 3,245 EUR
  • Germany: 3,245 EUR
  • United Kingdom: 2,785 GBP

That’s not cheap, but we’re not likely to see significantly lower prices on Apple Vision Pro until version two or three of Apple’s newest hardware platform.

Apple also announced Vision OS 2, the operating system that powers Apple Vision Pro, at WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference).

Standard two-dimensional photos will receive a machine learning treatment to make them 3D “spatial photos” on Apple Vision Pro. Apple is also bringing SharePlay, its technology to share media experiences with friends, to Apple Vision Pro. The result, Apple says, is that you can play, talk or work with others as if they’re sitting right next to you, even if they are thousands of miles away.

There’s new media coming for AVP as well, including an all-new Apple original movie, Submerged. This is being made just for AVP to make it a fully immersive experience, which should be very interesting. There’s also a new extreme sports series with Red Bull for Apple Vision Pro.

This is a developing story; there may be more updates soon.
